AI-first mobile app studio

One platform. Many apps.

nexapps designs, builds, ships and operates its own native mobile apps.

What we do

Every app here is ours. No client work, no outsourcing, no white label.

Every app is native: SwiftUI on iOS, Jetpack Compose on Android. Built, released and run in-house. The studio owns the product, the code, the store listing and the mailbox the support mail arrives in.

The hard parts are solved once, in a shared platform, rather than again for every app.

Pausa

Perimenopause symptom journal · iOS

A two-minute daily check-in — tap-based, no typing — becomes one clear sentence about your week, and a report you can hand your doctor.

  1. Pausa's symptom profile screen: a card reading “You're not imagining it.” above the eight symptoms women with a similar profile track most — hot flashes, night sweats, sleep disruption, palpitations, anxiety, irregular periods, heavy bleeding and spotting — each ticked, a note that this is what women who answered the same way track rather than a finding about you, and a “This is me — continue” button.
    01 / 04

    It starts by naming it.

The app opens on the symptoms women with a similar profile track most often, and you tick the ones that are yours. The screen says plainly that this is what women who answered the same way track — a place to start, not a finding about you.

  2. Pausa's Today screen: a warm peach-to-plum card reading “You're not imagining it. That's what this record is for.”, a Start check-in button, and cards for this week's pattern and the appointment report.
    02 / 04

    Then two minutes a day.

The check-in is taps, not typing — how you slept, what you felt, how strong it was. It can be done badly, on a bad day, in under two minutes.

  3. Pausa's Trends screen: a multi-series chart of sleep quality and hot flashes over five days, with a note that unlogged days are shown as gaps.
    03 / 04

    The week takes a shape.

Sleep and hot flashes on one chart, five days at a glance. The days you did not log are drawn as gaps rather than zeroes — a missing day is missing, not good.

  4. Pausa's Appointment report screen: a card reading “Walk in with proof.”, a summary of the report period and how complete it is, and a button to share the PDF with a doctor.
    04 / 04

And you walk in with proof.

The appointment report is a PDF you hand to your doctor: the period, how complete it is, and what you logged — the entries themselves, not a summary standing in for them.

How an app gets made here

An idea has to survive five gates before it becomes an app.

Most of them are designed to stop it.

  1. 01

    Concept

Six ways to be rejected outright, then eight criteria scored out of two. A concept needs at least twelve of a possible sixteen and a zero on none of them. Most ideas stop here.

  2. 02

    Panel

Three judges — market, feasibility and growth — score it out of ten with a written rationale, and any one of them can veto. It reaches the spec queue on a mean of 6.5 with no veto.

  3. 03

    Spec

One week. The thresholds that would later kill the app or scale it are written into the spec now, before the build starts. They cannot move once there is something to defend.

  4. 04

    Build

Four to six weeks, with the core loop running on a real device by week four. Week eight is a hard stop: the app is parked with a written note rather than carried.

  5. 05

    Verdict

Soft launch, then a decision at day ninety against the numbers fixed at spec time — kill, iterate or scale. The answer produces a written note that goes back into the platform.

Pausa is the first app through this. Nothing has reached the day-ninety verdict yet, because nothing has launched.

Proof

Everything on this page can be checked.

Zero third-partyNo analytics, no cookies, no external fonts, no embedded scripts. Verifiable in your network tab.
Static, every routeEvery page here is prerendered at build time. A route that turns dynamic fails the build, not a review.
Claims are testedA test scans this site for invented metrics and unsourced claims, and fails the build on a match.
Decisions on the recordEvery architecture decision is dated, with the argument that produced it and the cost it accepts — including the ones still deliberately open.

Working here

The studio is one engineer today. When that changes, it will say so here.

No roles are open and none are invented to fill the page. What is there instead is how the work is actually done, what the studio would look for, and what to send if you would like to be the first call.
